- תַּחְפַּנְחֵס, תַּחְפְּנֵס(b. h.) pr. n. pl. Tahpanhes, Tahpenes, in Egypt (Daphnæ in Pelusium). Targ. Is. 30:4 (h. text חנס). Targ. Jer. 44:1; a. e.Pesik. Vayhi, p. 63b> ת׳ זו חונפנייס (not תנפנחס) T., that is Ḥunpanias (?); Pesik. R. s. 17 תחפנס חופיינס (?).
